Dear Residents,

We would like to apologise for any increase in odour that may have been
experienced as a result of the recent maintenance work on Primary
Settlement Tank number 14 (east side of the site).

We have been experiencing some problems with the scraper mechanism that
removes the settled sludge from the bottom of the tank. We are working
hard to resolve this issue as soon as we can.

Tomorrow, we plan to drain down the tank ahead of further maintenance work.
This will to help reduce any additional odour caused by problems with the
tank scraper.

We appreciate that the weather has been very good recently, and this work
is being carried out at an unfortunate time when many of you would like to
have your windows open, or enjoying your gardens.

We will work as fast as we can to get this issue resolved.
