Is there anyone that can enlighten me as to whether the Grand Union has plans to poke it's nose into the Bridgelink Centre and possibly take it over?

I would also like to know if Albert Hadaway or Vince Kamara has encouraged Grand Union in its endeavours in this respect. affraid

Cue Councillor Andrews;.... Phil do you know anything about this or is it just another one of the wild rumours doing the rounds on the Ivybridge?

BTW I personally belive our Community Centre should be run by the new U.R.A. and not a charity that has behaved more like a secret society since it's conception.

George

All I can tell you at this stage is that discussions are taking place, and there are absolutely no done deals. I imagine you could guess where I stand on this.

What I really wish to know, is it true that the Bridgelink accountant attends the commitee meetings, but more to the point does he charge the Bridgelink for his time when he attends these meetings?

I intend to ascertain just who is on this committee and personally write to them demanding an explanation as to whether or not this guy gets paid for attending. IMO he shouldn't even be there.

As I am a card carrying member of the Bridgelink and would have to cough up 10 quid if it goes down the pan, I believe I'm entitled to this information.

It has become quite evident that the present Bridgelink committee couldn't run a piss up in a brewery, by the fact that they had to return 15 grand to the lottery? surely this was one of the responsibilities of their accountant, to oversee that a debacle like this could never happen?

Wow!!
I didn't know this..but i have to agree the Building needs a Change new people running it.
I agree that the Resident Association should run it as it is part of the Estate and the Resident Association looks after the estate.

I am shocked by your comments George about the Bridgelink Committee as a few months ago when i attacked the Bridgelink Centre you praised it up and stated that the committee was doing a grand job etc etc whats changed your mind?

Simon two words should suffice "GRAND UNION" also I have since sussed out the Bridgelink would be hard pushed to get a quorum together to actually hold a meeting but I have asked Jackie Butcher for a list of names of commitee members so that I might write to them personally demanding an explanation as to how and why Grand Union has entered into the frame!!!

If it is, as I suspect, down to one greedy little shit trying to broker a deal for thirty pieces of silver, then the shit will really hit the fan.
