Dear Residents,

Following the notification below, we plan to carry out our first odour

control unit shutdown on Monday 24 August 2009. The odour control unit

will be off for more than 12 hours and any additional odour should be

minimal as the gasses will be kept within the odour controlled coverings

across the site.

Thank you for your patience while we carry out this essential work.

Kind regards

Andy

Hello Marion,

I hope you are well. I'm an Ivybridge resident and I visited the Langdale Centre today (July 1st) to report some problems with the standard of cleaning and general repair of communal areas in my block on Ivybridge. The block concerned is 112-122 at the Tesco end. I'm also newly appointed block representative for the Ivybridge URA so I am writing on behalf of the entire block with whom I have good relations.

The primary problem is that the communal areas of the block are ...

Hi All,

I can't help but notice that contact details for the URA include only telephone numbers and a postal address. Is there an email address that people could contact you on? This is a far more convenient mode of communication for most (including the residents in my block who I've spoken to). It also means they can contact you 24 hrs 7 days a week rather than worrying about phoning at a convenient time. Of course, responses wouldn't be expected 24 hrs a day!

I also think it's strange ...

The drain down is expected to take no more than 48 hours.

Today we will be draining wash sump, near the pasteurisation unit on the

west side of the works. This is to carry out some maintenance work on one

The work is planned to last for half the day, and we do not anticipate this

Teresa Clarke, of Wroxham, Norfolk, went through 20 driving instructors, spent £15,000 in fees and had 450 hours of tuition.

Just wondering if anyone else is hoping to rent an allotment in the Isleworth area? I've made several enquiries and the waiting list is 5 years apparently. If I can get together 6 or more people in the area however, it is possible to make a case to put foward to the council. It is a legal requirement (The 1908 allotments act) that they provide allotments where there is demand. I think a 5 year waiting list demonstrates a significant demand. AFP - Wednesday, June 11 08:38 amLONDON (AFP) - A minister has admitted that the government spent a mere 230 pounds promoting St George's Day over the last five years.

Culture Minister Margaret Hodge confessed that her department spent 116 pounds on promoting England's national day this year, two pounds more than in 2007 -- and absolutely nothing in the previous three years.

The admission provoked outrage from at least one patriotic member of parliament.

I very recently moved into the estate and just came across this forum today. I think it's a great idea to share news and ideas but it seems to me to be horribly under-used. I was wondering how this forum, and website, is publicised. Would it be an idea to put up posters about it around the estate? I knew nothing about it and came accross this site by chance; I think it's a terrible shame that more people aren't contributing. Any ideas?
