Hounslow homes alarm system in place for those stuck in a broken down lift - again left someone stuck for over an hour.
The system in place which alerts first the HH's call centre who then informs the lift engineers is obviously not working. It took the lift engineers 1.1/2 hours to get to the site.
If it had not been for someone calling the fire brigade who was there in 10mins the chap concerned could have been there for another 1/2 hour.
Many elderly residents in the block are now afraid to use the lifts in fear of being trapped for maybe hours.
Get stuck in a lift between 8pm and 8am and you could be there all night.
